Foundations of Electromagnetism: A Review of Wilhelm Weber’s Electrodynamic Force Law

This article reviews the electrodynamic force law of Wilhelm Weber and its importance in electromagnetic theory. An introduction is given to Weber’s it shown how has been utilised literature explain electromagnetism as well phenomena other disciplines physics, where connections nuclear force, gravity, cosmology, inertia quantum mechanics. Further, criticism reviewed common misconceptions addressed rectified. It found that, while theory not without much room for improvement, within limitations validity, equally successful Maxwell’s predicting certain phenomena. Moreover, discussed offers a valid alternative explanation which can enrich complement field perspective through particle based approach.
